MPWER St. Louis will be hosting an open enrollment on May 17, 2022 from 9am to Noon and from 1pm to 4pm at The Urban League in Florissant, MO for our Summer ready-to-work program that begins on Monday, June 6, 2022.
This June cohort will be a 6-week PILOT preparing participants for various "clean energy" and other types of jobs (including solar energy, environmental remediation, industrial maintenance and others). 4 weeks will be dedicated to Workforce Development (job readiness) preparation, and the remaining 2 weeks will be dedicated to certifying the participants in both OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER.
- 4-week job development training will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am-Noon; Wednesdays from 9am-4pm.
- 2-week safety certification courses will begin after 4 week job training course; Dates and times TBA.
- Participants will be given lunch daily through the 6-week process.
- Transportation assistance will be provided for participants showing need.
- Veterans are welcomed.
